Web Development Tips

With all the new Web Development I have been doing lately I have learned some great new tips, I moved my websites from my own Linux servers over to Bluehost (see add to the left) and it has worked out great, all my websites on one server for one price, all the email accounts.. everything in one package.
I moved from Wordpress to Drupal for my CMS system, I'll get into Drupal another time but it is awesome. A few things that that have been really cool to use on these projects are two pieces of software; 1: CSS Edit ( http://macrabbit.com/cssedit/ ) for editing CSS for my drupal sites (still learning) but it allows you to look at and strip Style Sheets from any website you go to, take little parts of the sites you like and incorporate them into your Drupal Theme. One sweet thing I have found (or was shown by www.drupaldude.com ) was that using Transmit ( http://www.panic.com/transmit/ ) you can FTP into your site, and right click (control click) on your Style Sheet and select to edit it using CSSEdit and make style sheet changes right on the server, no need to download the file and make your changes and then upload them, its all live.
One thing that CSSEdit does is allow you to browse to your site, "edit and override" the style sheet or sheets that the page uses and look at the code, make a change and see what it would do in a preview window; once you get things looking like you want you can save the changes and stick them on your site, the bonus of this is that if you screw it up (something I do more than not) your not screwing with the real css file, so you can simply either undo or just close and not save reload it and start trying to make your changes again.
I find that CSS is the most amazing thing, it is a very powerful tool for web layout, pretty much eliminates tables and all that HTML magic, I still find CSS to be pure magic too but I am getting a little better by using the cool tools I just spoke of, give it a shot and let me know how it goes and also give me your tips on what you have found to be the latest and greatest for CSS.
