Orb
Well once again I find Apple has backed me into a corner on an application I really love. I originally bought a “Slingbox” and didn’t care for it at all, as a matter of fact it hardly worked… So after searching around a little I found an application for my PC called “Orb” you run an orb server on your machine and you can do all kinds of things such as I am able to watch all of my Tivo recorded and saved programs from anywhere in the world even on the mac, I have used it for a pilot friend of mine so he can watch Motorcycle races when he is stuck in places like China. Orb server is not available for OS X, I understand this is not really Apples fault, but then again, I have a task I’d like to do and can’t do it on an Apple, good thing I keep an XP machine running in the basement. FYI this is the only way without Hacking your Tivo that you can watch shows on your Mac…
