Joost - No Power PC

Joost - No Power PC

I was sitting home one night thinking how nice it is that iTunes has streaming audio, I like to have sound as I'm sitting at my desk while working, but NPR goes just so far. I had heard of Joost, a way of streaming som video content (tv on my computer) well I decide to download Joost from www.joost.com and they had a OS X version, I downloaded the DMG and followed the instructions on installing it and come to find out it only works on Intel Apples, it loads on any of my Windows machines, even ones that are far older than my Powerbook, so once again a simple task and yet my Apple won't allow me to do it, I understand that I should upgrade to an intel machine, but the $2k they cost sure hurts. It seems that about every three years Apple re-invents itself leaving everything behind, yet everyone seems okay with buying new hardware and new software. they have done it a few time, when OS9 went away none of your software would work, then when they go to Intel the same thing.

But how is Apple responsible

But how is Apple responsible for what the developer of Joost decides to support?

Joost - Apple

I guess I don't so much blame Apple for that as much as I blame Apple FanBoys for going on and on how much better Apple is than Windows, when I run into things that I want to do and I end up jumping through hoops to do at last half of my tasks.. then again, I dont have an Applegasm with every new Apple release. I use one everyday along with using a PC everyday.
