Apple Missing Log Me In

After an amazing amount of comments and questions on my logmein article I decided to re-visit this great remote desktop software available from www.logmein.com . I use the Free version on two machines at home but I'm thinking of stepping up to Logmein Pro for a bunch of added features such as File Transfer between PC's along with the ability to remote print, sure would be handy to log into my PC at home and print documents at work without much effort, this to me is a serious contender for one of the coolest softwares I have played with, even LogMeIn Free version is soooo handy. I use this to start large downloads such as loading or unloading files from my Tivo to and fro my PC.
I have tried a few VLC programs on my Apples but they require poking holes in my firewall and having to know my IP address at home, but being as I'm on Charter cable my IP address is Dynamic so I would have to check before I left for work and hope it stays the same all day, where as Log Me In gets by all of those things and just works, maybe with the Intel thing on OSX maybe it would be not as hard to port this awesome software over to the Apple platform.

I use chicken of the vlc and it works just fine. I can't imagine that anything works as well as it does. give it a try and you will see its far better than any free software for Windblows

VLC

I have used VLC, this required me to poke a hole and do port forwarding and set a static IP on my machine, whereas LogMeIn is as simple as loading the app... works anywhere anytime, give it a shot before writing it off, its available for Mac now, my buddy over at www.livingwithmac.com uses it now and it has helped him from having to head over to family members houses to fix simple problems, not only that but you load it on family members computers if they are Windows or Mac, and you can access them from anywhere, even from a library or anything, all browser based so no need to load anything just to help them out.
